The Masked Singer is the new TV show that is going to be your next reality TV addiction.
The new series, which is set to kick off on ITV on January 4, sees 12 celebrities go-head-to-head in a singing competition.
The catch? They’re all dressed head-to-toe in elaborate costumes, with their identities hidden on and off stage and their voices disguised in interviews – basically, it’s TV’s best kept secret.
As each celebrity sings, a superstar panel, along with the studio audience, are left guessing who’s behind the mask as the celebrity singers try to throw them off the scent.
The aim is to be the last celebrity standing.
In the first episode, which will air on January 4, the first six of the signers will battle it out: Queen Bee vs Duck; Unicorn vs Butterfly; Chameleon vs. Hedgehog.
And it won’t be too long until the viewers will find out who is behind the mask. At the end of the show, the first celebrity’s true identity is revealed as they are unmasked on stage.
Hosted by Joel Dommett, the panellists include Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Ken Jeong.
