Molly Sterling will represent Ireland at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna this year.
Alex Saint and the MJs, Kat Mahon, Erika Selin, Nikki Kavanagh and Molly Sterling battled it out for the honour on tonight’s Late Late Show, performing their songs live to the RTÉ studio audience and guest panel.
Phil Coulter, Panti Bliss, Linda Martin and Mairead Farrell all gave their tuppence on the tracks however the vote lay in the hands of the general public.
16-year-old Molly Sterling is a self-taught musician from Nenegh in Co Tipperary. She and songwriter Greg French co-wrote ‘Playing with Numbers’ as part of her upcoming album. The song is about the risks people take every day in love and in life, and the experiences of taking the road less travelled.
Molly just needs to sort out one small detail… A passport.
Here’s what the Twittersphere had to say about the entire programme… They’re a harsh bunch.
