Excellent news.
We have some gorgeous news on this lovely Friday evening.
Hulu has announced that The Handmaid’s Tale has been renewed for a fourth season.
The streaming service made the announcement during the Television Critics Association press tour today.
Based on Margaret Atwood’s iconic novel, “The Handmaid’s Tale” follows the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly part of the United States.
It stars Elizabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel and many other amazing actors.
The third season of The Handmaid’s Tale aired in June, and it has been incredible.
The plot of Season 3? Well the official synopsis states that: “having made the dangerous decision to remain in the oppressive regime of Gilead and find her missing daughter, June now embarks on a bold mission which proves to have unexpected consequences. Emily and Nichole make a harrowing journey as they flee towards the safety of Canada.”
So yeah, it’s been drama at every turn.
The third season has been met with some critique though, with Caroline Framke of Variety writing:
Yikes.
Well, we’re excited for season 4 anyway.
