Anyone else have A Whole New World stuck in their head after this?
Ever since the live action remake of Disney’s Aladdin was announced, we’ve been eager to see how the 1992 animated classic would transfer into the real world.
And now it looks like the Genie has granted our wish.
After months and months of teasers and mini-trailers, the brand new trailer for Aladdin is here – and honestly, it’s everything we could have ever hoped for.
The footage kicks off with Aladdin running through the streets of Agrabah, trying to dodge the soldiers who are after him – before he (almost literally) runs into Princess Jasmine is disguise.
Jafar is then seen trying to tempt Aladdin to head into the cave of wonders, promising him that he can make him “rich enough to impress a princess.”
And beyond the totally extravagant sets, we also get our first listen to some of the Disney classic’s most iconic songs: A Friend Like Me and A Whole New World.
We’re definitely going to have those stuck in our head all day.
The description under the trailer reads:
“‘Aladdin’ is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.”
The film stars Will Smith as the Genie; Mena Massoud as Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar; Navid Negahban as the Sultan; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia and Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders.
