The first look at Stephanie Davis’ drama-filled return to Hollyoaks is here

Stephanie Davis is heading back to Hollyoaks - and it looks like her on-screen alter-ego is bringing some serious drama.

The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant is set to reprise her role as Sinead O'Connor on the long-running soap later this year. And the first look at her big return will see Sinead try to ruin the wedding of her ex, Ste Hey.

The soap revealed their drama-packed autumn trailer on Monday afternoon, where most of the footage was the build-up for Ste's wedding to Harry Thompson. There's already a lot for the couple to be dealing with - including Ste's secret partner, James Nightingale, giving him an ultimatum and what looks to be a dangerous storm.

But it looks like there's going to be even more wedding drama on the way. In the final seconds of the preview, Sinead can be seen asking a cab driver:

"Can you get me to Hollyoaks please? I've got a wedding to ruin."

Stephanie originally joined the soap at just 16 before being fired in 2015 for “lateness, attendance and alcohol consumption”. Speaking of her return, show boss Bryan Kirkwood said:

“I am delighted that Stephanie is returning, she’s a hugely talented actress who has worked hard to overcome some personal issues. “We welcome her return to Hollyoaks to reprise her role as Sinead O’Connor, a brilliant and vibrant character who the audience love," he added. “Sinead will make a return to the Hutchinson’s family in autumn, no doubt bringing drama in tow.”
