The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is getting a Christmas special on Netflix

Something wicked this way comes - and just in time for Christmas.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is getting into the holiday spirit with a special Christmas episode. Netflix confirmed the news of the festive special during a holiday-themed promo, which also shared glimpses of the other Christmassy programmes (we see you, A Christmas Prince). The one-off episode,titled A Midwinter's Tale, is set to arrive on Netflix on Friday, December 14. The show's regular cast - including Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen and Lachlan Watson - are all expected to return for the special. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the episode is going to be set mostly during the Church of Night's celebration of the winter solstice. However, elements of the episode will still fall in line with the continuity of the original series - which makes sense, given the timing of season one of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.  The first episode picks up in the lead-up to Halloween (and Sabrina's 16th birthday), with another one in the 10-episode season focusing on Thanksgiving - which takes place towards the end of November.
