Back before it all began.
This week 16 years ago Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint were chosen as the leading characters of a brand new movie franchise – Harry Potter.
Little did they know their careers were about to explode and only at the young age of 11.
But it all came down to their auditions which landed them the roles. The producers and directors took the chance on the relatively inexperienced youngsters and it definitely paid off.
Let’s take a look back at their screen tests from 2000.
First up here’s Daniel Radcliff reading for the role of Harry. In this video, he’s playing out the scene when Hagrid acquired some dragon eggs.
After being successfully cast as Harry, Daniel took part in a press conference where he discussed his likeness to the character and cited liking owls as one of the reasons. Bless.
