Another familiar face has pulled out of the show.

Strictly Come Dancing favourite Robin Windsor has pulled out of this year’s series of the show due to a back injury.

The dancer, who has been part of the line-up since 2010, had been due to return but those plans were scuppered by ongoing back problems.

He said: “I’m devastated to have to pull out of Strictly this year due to a pre-existing back injury. It’s been a really difficult decision, but I plan to focus 100 per cent on my recovery and hope to be back in the ballroom as soon as possible, doing what I love best.

“In the meantime, I wish the rest of the cast and crew the best of luck with the new series which I’ll be watching every week”.

Robin has had to pull out of the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing due to a back injury.

Robin will be replaced by Australian dancer Trent Whiddon who has appeared on similar shows in both Australia and the US.

Speaking about the new role, he revealed: “I am so excited to have been asked to join Strictly. It’s such an honour to be a part of the show and I can’t wait to step onto the famous Strictly dancefloor”.

While he is the latest, Robin isn’t the only male professional dancer who won’t be returning this autumn. Artem Chigvintsev and James Jordan have also left the show.
