With more than five months to go until Strictly returns to our screens, early rumours of potential participants are already beginning to surface. Well, if these early rumours are to be believed, this year is going to be bigger than ever. According to reports, Strictly bosses are hoping to sign up Coleen Rooney for this year’s series. Yes, the 32-year-old is said to be top of producers’ wish-list for the next series and we’re hoping they sign her up. Coleen was reportedly approached last year to take part, however, had to turn it down after she found out she was pregnant with her son, Cass. “Coleen deferred her place last year after falling pregnant but has the option of taking it up this year – and the talks have begun to make that happen,” a source told The Mirror. “This would be one of Strictly’s biggest signings ever. And it would be a ratings sensation. "Producers know that they will need to pull out all the stops to land Coleen,” the source added. “But they have been told she is interested.” While nothing has been confirmed yet and we’re sure it will be a while yet before anything is, we’re loving the idea of one of the O.G. WAGs hitting our screens every weekend.
