This may be the most outlandish theory we’ve heard thus far.
The insanely popular Netflix documentary, Making a Murderer, which centres around the 2007 murder conviction of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey for the death of Teresa Halbach, has sparked much debate among viewers.
People close to the case have also been vocal about the controversial conviction in the wake of the documentary, with the filmmakers and Steven Avery’s ex-fiancee Jodi Stachowski all weighing in.
Now, in what may be the wildest theory thus far, Steven’s mother Dolores, who features heavily in the documentary, has said that she believes victim Teresa Halbach is still alive.
Her theory, which she voiced on Boston Radio Programme The Hillman Radio Show, aligns itself with the theories that Avery was framed.
Speaking about Teresa, Dolores said: “I don’t think she’s even dead.”
When asked if she believed that Teresa had cooperated with police in a conspiracy to set her son up, she replied:
“It could be.”
When asked about the bones found in Avery’s yard, Dolores questioned whether they were Teresa’s bones at all.
We are just so, so confused.
