Our absolute favourites from Gogglebox UK have confirmed that they’ve left the show.
Steph and Dom Parker had been noticeably absent from the show since it returned to Channel 4 a few weeks ago.
But only today, the couple confirmed that they were officially finished with the show.
The guesthouse owners who love a drink while watching TV quickly became a firm favourite among viewers for their dry sense of humour and commentary of the shows they watched.
“We think it’s important that everyone gets their chance to be on Gogglebox and give their opinion, and having been on it from the beginning we felt like we’d pretty much said all we needed to say, and we knew what we were going say.” The couple said speaking to the Sun.
While we’re big fans of the Moffatt’s and adore Sandy and Sandra, there was no family quite like Steph and Dom.
Steph explained that the pair just ‘felt it was time’.
“You can have too much of a good thing, so you can’t overdo it,
“We’ve got other projects and not a lot of time. We’re very busy and filming at the hotel was pretty tough.”
The hotel owner adds that she appreciates the positive feedback they have received.
“I’m so touched that people have been missing us, because I think there are some incredibly funny characters on there so the fact we’re missed is quite a big deal for us.
“We do still watch it and we enjoy the new characters, it’s still making us belly laugh which is great.”
Perhaps we’ll be seeing the couple on a show of their own sometime soon? Which we’re sure would draw in a crowd.
When asked about the possibility of a show the pair seemed up for it.
“You can never guess what’s around the corner, so who knows… Everything is very topsy turvy in the TV land, but we’d absolutely be delighted.”
Steph and Dom, you will be missed.
