We’re only a couple of weeks in – but we have to say we’re absolutely hooked on Strictly Come Dancing already.
Yes (and just as X Factor continues to fail to impress) the BBC dance show only goes from strength-to-strength
On Saturday evening, Alexandra Burke blew absolutely everyone away… including the hard-to-please quartet of judges.
Woah, she brought it! Fierce, firey, full of intent. We are truly, #Strictly floored @alexandramusic @gorkamarquez1 pic.twitter.com/1FieHdxeUH

Performing to a Spanish language version of Jennifer Lopez’s 2011 classic On The Floor, the singer and her professional partner, Gorka Márquez, were hypnotic.
Last week their waltz was certainly solid, but it wasn’t a patch on Saturday’s outstanding performance.

The duo were rewarded with an incredible judges’ tally of 36 – with each awarding Alexandra and Gorka nine points.
Darcey had said she loved the “strength and drama,” adding that she was on the edge of her seat and that the performance took her breath away.

Shirley thought it was “fierce” and said that she loved it. Bruno was blown away and stated that he “lived the dance” with Ms Burke herself. Poor Craig didn’t get a word in – but he nevertheless partook in the standing ovation.
Needless to say Twitter was having a mega love-in the aftermath too – with a load of fans taking to the platform to gush about Alexandra.

The results are in on Sunday at 6.15pm – with comedian Brian Conley and presenter Charlotte Hawkins looking particularly vulnerable after their Saturday offerings.
