There could be wedding bells in Albert Square before long, as one character is about to pop the question.
They’ve become close since the murder of Lucy Beale and now Peter Beale (Ben Hardy) looks set to propose to Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) on his return from New Zealand.
According to the Daily Mail, Peter asks Lauren’s father Max Branning for his daughter’s hand in marriage and the dad is soon bowled over by Peter’s commitment and gives his blessing.
Viewers will have to wait until early December to find out if she says yes but with Hardy set to leave the soap, it seems the course of true love might not run that smoothly…
