Soap fans are not impressed at the latest departure of an ‘EastEnders’ character

Another actor has confirmed he is leaving the long-running soap.

Of all the shows on TV, EastEnders is surely the most dramatic and that may have *some* correlation with why I love it so much. Walford holds many secrets, lies, and unbelievable storylines, and that's how it keeps us captivated and interested in every new episode. One storyline we'll be sure to tune into is the exit of much-loved resident Lee Carter. According to The Sun, the eldest Carter on the show is set to leave in 2017. Following the announcements of both Samantha Womack and Rita Simons leaving the show, who play sisters Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell, there looks to be a huge upheaval in characters on the soap. The new departures have been initiated by new executive producer Sean O’Connor, with a source saying

"Sean’s arrival has brought massive change to EastEnders, not least in the decision to exit Ronnie and Roxy. Others are now looking around and wondering who could be next to walk."

People took to Twitter to voice concern over yet another character leaving the show.
