So This Is What We Can Expect In The New Series Of True Detective

HBO series True Detective is returning for a second series on the 21st June and after hearing details of the first episode, we're likely to be completely hooked on this show. The opening episode is entitled The Western Book of the Dead and it focuses on the "the disappearance of a city manager disrupts a lucrative land scheme and ignites an investigation involving three police officers and a career criminal who is moving into legitimate business". Not only is Irish actor Colin Farrell playing a lead role in the new series, one of our favourite actresses Rachel McAdams is also set for a main part. According to information released this week, Colin Farrell will play Ray Velcoro, "a troubled detective whose allegiances are torn between his masters in a corrupt police department and the mobster who owns him". Meanwhile, Rachel will take on the role of Ani Bezzerides, "a sheriff’s detective whose uncompromising ethics put her at odds with others and the system she serves". The second series also stars Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights) and Vince Vaughn (Wedding Crashers) and by all accounts, this is one show NOT to be missed. H/T to our JOE bros for this one
