We were only delighted to hear that Ed Sheeran would be appearing on Home and Away and the singer has spoken out about why he decided to do the guest appearance.
Ed is currently touring Australia and this week he spoke to radio station KIIS FM, telling show hosts Kyle and Jackie O that it all happened very easily.
“They just asked me [to appear on the show] and I said “Yes!”
“I’m at a stage in my career where I just want to do fun things”.
“I really don’t care about being ‘cool’ or anything I just want to do stuff because it’s fun and sometimes I say ‘yes’ and sometimes I say ‘no'” said the star.

Ed kept tight-lipped about this upcoming role but he did say that his role would have a lot to do with long-standing character Marilyn, played by Emily Symons.
“Emily was great, I really liked her” said the award-winning singer.
