Advertising for the Snow White spin-off has caused some major upset online.
Body-positive advocate, Tess Holliday, took aim at the movie and its star, Chloe Moretz, on Twitter after she spotted a fat-shaming poster for the movie.
The ad for the movie, entitled Red Shows and the 7 Dwarfs, showed a tall and cartoonishly thin Snow White standing alongside a shorter, curvier version of herself with a caption that read:
“What if Snow White was no longer beautiful and the 7 Drwarfs not so short?”
How did this get approved by an entire marketing team? Why is it okay to tell young kids being fat = ugly? ??@ChloeGMoretz pic.twitter.com/PVhgwluGTM

Sharing the picture on Twitter, Tess called out actress Chloe Moretz, who is set to voice the lead character, saying:
“How did this get approved by an entire marketing team? Why is it OK to tell young kids being fat = ugly?”
The trailer for the movie isn’t much better, with a clip of Snow White undressing as the Dwarfs watch on eagerly, only to be shocked when she suddenly gains weights.
No response yet from Chloe Moretz, however, we don’t imagine she will stay quiet – the actress is a proud feminist and often takes to social media to share messages of positivity.
