Simon Cowell made a dig at Niall Horan over his debut single

Oh no he didn't.

Bitter much?

Most people were thrilled for Niall Horan when he released his debut single, This Town, including most of his ex bandmates, the media and his fans. Pretty much everyone was happy for him and rightly so.

But there is one person who clearly isn’t very happy – Simon Cowell.

When Niall was in One Direction they were signed to Simon’s record label Syco but since branching out on his own he signed with Capitol Records, a decision he was delighted with.

He told fans about the news saying, “I’m excited to announce I have signed a record deal with Capitol Records USA and released my first solo song.

“Thank you to all the One Direction fans for your love and support as always. I’m looking forward to the next part of this journey together.”

It seems now though that Simon is fairly bitter over this decision and had some harsh things to say about Niall.

When speaking to The Sunday Mirror, he said: “He probably would have had a No 1 single if he’d stayed with me. But you know who does have a No 1 this week? James Arthur. Very pleased he’s back with us with a fantastic record.”

Then he added, “Hashtag loyalty.”

Simon never was one to hold back his thoughts. We’re sure Niall will do just fine with Capitol Records.
