Simon Cowell has asked Livin’ La Vida Loca singer Ricky Martin to come on board as a judge on his latest talent show.
The X Factor judge, who is currently working on Britain’s Got Talent, is preparing to launch a new US talent show where he hopes to find the next One Direction.
The show is the first Latin American show that the music mogul has been involved in.
According to reports, Ricky Martin will be on hand as Cowell hopes to find a new Latin boyband.
“The phone rings and Simon Cowell calls and he says, ‘Ricky, I would like to meet with you’,” Ricky explained.
“We started throwing ideas around and I was fascinated by this concept. I was fascinated by this show and I said ‘Of course I want to be part of this. Thank you for inviting me’.
“Simon is a brutally honest judge which is very important,” he added. “But I’m a little bit more nurturing.”
The popular singer added that he will be managing the winning band.
