Selena Gomez had the sweetest thing to say about her relationship

She’s spoken out about her relationship in a recent interview.

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have kept their relationship very private aside from a few public appearances here and there. Well, now Selena is revealing a little bit about her new boyfriend in an interview with InStyle.

“I really am happy,” the 25-year-old said. “I don’t depend on one area of my life to make me happy. “It’s really important for me to love and nourish my friends and family, and to make sure that I never get influence by a guy.”

Selena said her new relationship has added to her life without leaving her dependant on her partner.

“I’ve wanted to be in a strong headspace for years, and I really wasn’t. Before, I was so young and easily influenced, and I’d feel insecure. “You want someone to add to your life, not complete you, if that makes sense. "I’m lucky because he’s more of a best friend than anything else.”
