Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber got in a fairly public spat and things got awkward

Well, that escalated quickly.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have always seemed to have a fairly good relationship since they broke up two years ago. At first it was a bit bumpy, like most break-ups, but recently they've been sharing support for each other and were acting very mature. All that has just changed and they've let their true feelings show, and no better place than on social media so the whole world gets to see it. It started with Justin uploading an image of his new girlfriend, Sofia Richie, with the caption, "I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn't be so mean to people that I like."

Selena commented on the post saying, "If you can't handle the hate, then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol - It should be special between you two only. Don't be mad at your fans. They love you and supported you before anyone ever did." He first replied saying, "It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love." To be fair she probably shouldn't be sticking her oar in but, unfortunately, she did and that spurred on some pretty nasty comments to follow from her and Justin. She hit back saying, "Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love." If that wasn't awkward enough then Justin Bieber commented back again saying, "I cheated... Oh I forgot about you and Zayn?" How did Zayn end up getting dragged into all of this? YIKES!
