Looking for something to watch this weekend?
Netflix has just added some well known and interesting titles to its collection. With something in there for everyone, they’ve added animations like Despicable Me 2 and an investigative series Dirty Money.
Here are the best titles:
A Futile and Stupid Gesture
Will Forte and Domhnall Gleeson star in this exploration of the troubled life and ground-breaking career of National Lampoon co-founder Doug Kenney. Based on the book A Futile and Stupid Gesture: How Doug Kenney and National Lampoon Changed Comedy Forever, the movie focuses on the troubled life and career of Kenney and how National Lampoon influenced the comedy scene in America in the ’70s and ’80s.
Despicable Me 2
Now that Gru (Steve Carell) has forsaken a life of crime to raise Margo, Agnes and Edith, he’s trying to figure out how to provide for his new family. As he struggles with his responsibilities as a father, the Anti-Villain League — an organization dedicated to fighting evil — comes calling. The AVL sends Gru on a mission to capture the perpetrator of a spectacular heist, for who would be better than the world’s greatest ex-villain to capture the individual who seeks to usurp his power.
Joy
A story of a family across four generations, centered on the girl who becomes the woman (Jennifer Lawrence) who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Dirty Money
Dirty Money is a thrilling investigative series which provides an up-close and personal view into untold stories of scandal and corruption in the world of business. Using first-hand accounts from perpetrators and their victims, combined with rarely-seen video footage, this addictive series keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
How the World Ends
In The World’s End, 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realise the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
Perfect Stranger
Rowena Price (Halle Berry), a reporter, uses her investigative skills to solve the murder of a friend. Her search leads her to Harrison Hill (Bruce Willis), a high-powered advertising executive. She assumes new identities in the real world and online, utilizing cyberspace in a bid to bring her quarry to justice.
