Filming has begun in Belfast for season 3 of The Fall.
Jamie Dornan will reprise his role as serial killer Paul Spector, starring alongside Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson, played by Gillian Anderson. The new season will also welcome some new additions to the cast, with Love/Hate‘s Ruth Bradley, Aidan McArdle (Mr Selfridge), Aisling Bea (Trollied) and Richard Coyle (Coupling) all signing up.
Not much is known about the plot but it’s due to pick up where it left off, with the fate of wounded Paul Spector left hanging in the balance.
However, fans of the crime drama might be disappointed to learn that this will be the last season of The Fall. According to Digital Spy, BBC Two have confirmed that the third season will be the final one.
Speaking about the series, writer and director Allan Cubitt said, “I’ve been on a very exciting journey over the last five years with Stella Gibson and Paul Spector and I’m thrilled to have recently started filming the third installment of their macabre, obsessive dance of death.”
