Scarlett’s parent’s defended her.
The most talked about contestant of this year’s I’m a Celeb is undoubtedly Scarlett Moffatt.
Many viewers love the Geordie lass but recent scenes in the Jungle has led others to call her a bully.
The claims were made by viewers after Scarlett and the now-evicted Danny Baker argued with Homes Under the Hammer presenter Martin Roberts about collecting water. Martin was later seen in tears.
Now Scarlett’s parents have hit back at those comments adding that the Gogglebox star herself was bullied as a child.
”As someone who has been bullied herself when she was younger I think she would be absolutely mortified if she thought people were saying she was a bully. That really isn’t the sort of person she is,’ Her mum Betty told The Sun.
“When she comes out I think she’ll be really upset by that and will feel really bad about it.” She added.
Dad Mark explained that she was teased in her younger years for her appearance and interests.
“You know what teenage girls are like, you want to fit in. If you’re not in with the in crowd, aged 13 or 14, that’s the end of your world. As a parent it’s awful.”
“Not everyone has to be the same. She was just a bit geeky. Her favourite shows were The Young Ones and Bottom, things like that. And she loved Red Dwarf.”
Her parents added that she is not going to change for the cameras.
“Personalities clash. You’re not going to go in there and think everyone is going to be your sort of person. Scarlett isn’t going to be everyone’s person in there either.”
Scarlett is still currently favourite to win the show.
