Could Sarah McInerney be the new host of the Late Late Show?
The odds of the journalist taking over from Ryan Tubridy have risen in recent days. Claire Byrne remains the favourite to take over from Tubs, but McInerney is rising in popularity.
According to Boyle Sports, there has been an increase in people placing bets on McInerney.
The odds of the Galway journalist taking over have risen from 7/2 to 5/4.
However, Claire Byrne is still favourite with odds at 4/6.
The news comes after Angela Scanlon confirmed she has no interest in taking over from Ryan Tubridy.
Scanlon said she is pretty happy with her current gig Ask Me Anything and has no plans on leaving the show anytime soon.
Angela addressed the Late Late rumours during a Q&A on her Instagram.

One follower asked if she would like the job and she replied honestly, “Oh, f**k no.”
Scanlon laughed that if she was host of the Late Late then she would be “thrown out”.
She said she is having way too much fun hosting Ask Me Anything to consider anything else.
Other names in the running to take over the Late Late include Baz Ashmawy, Lucy Kennedy and Doireann Garrihy.
Ryan Tubridy will host his final Late Late Show on May 26th.
