The actress was criticised for ‘oversharing’ on social media.
Sarah Hyland has had to address her latest snap with her new boyfriend Wells Adam.
The actress took to Instagram to share a picture with the former Bachelorette contestant, however, many followers said the picture was too personal to be shared online.
“Two more reasons to smile again,” read the caption on the picture of the pair in bed with Sarah’s dog.
Followers were quick to criticise the Modern Family star, saying the picture was far too racy for Instagram and that she should keep her ‘private sex life’ private.
However, the actress has since responded to the backlash in a lengthy post online.
“She just brought to my attention that the picture I posted might have been inappropriate,” Sarah wrote.
“So, I just have to say I’m so sorry… for posting an adorable picture because Carl was acting like the nuggetiest snuggle bug!”

The actress said she “couldn’t let the moment pass without a picture” before going on to talk about what she does and doesn’t share online.
“I will share what I deem appropriate on social media because I still want you all to be updated.
“Because you guys are the greatest fans in the world.
“However, this relationship’s tea will only be spilled on social media… for now.”
