Riverdale is doing a musical episode… but there’ll be no jazz hands

It’s going to get bloody.

It’s going to get bloody.

Following on from shows like Scrubs and Grey’s Anatomy, Riverdale is taking a trip into the world of musicals as it airs its very own musical episode in April.

Yes, the Netflix show will combine with the musical version of Carrie and will feature 11 songs all performed by our favourite Riverdale High students.

Cheryl Blossom will be taking on the lead role of Carrie who can move things and cause mayhem with her mind when she’s pushed to the edge.

The creator of the show shared the news on Twitter with a picture of the cast list which features all our favourite characters, saying:

“Dream episode of Riverdale coming up! Carrie: The Musical is happening!”

The show has featured a lot of music throughout the first two seasons so far, so the news of a musical episode mightn’t come as a huge surprise to everyone.

However, unlike other shows that may have failed miserably when attempted (we’re looking at no one in particular), we think Riverdale just might be able to pull this off.
