Rio Ferdinand and Kate Wright have finally confirmed their relationship after posing for a picture on a friend’s social media. The pair smiled alongside a group of friends in the picture that confirms months of rumours about the couple’s link.

Earlier this month, rumours went into overdrive after Kate and Rio shared glaringly similar pictures of their social media accounts, leading many to believe that the former TOWIE star had been introduced to Rio’s three children.

The pair were first linked back in January, and have now finally confirmed the news. This is Rio’s first public relationship since the death of his wife in 2015. Rio and Rebecca welcomed three children together before she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
