Remember the fella from 24? He’s playing a gig in Dublin soon

Say what?

Interesting, but odd.

Jack Bauer (a.k.a. Kiefer Sutherland) was known for choking people out if they were in his way and huskily shouting ‘Chloe’ at any given chance.

We’re used to seeing him as a secret agent, travelling the globe in order to save his loved ones, so hearing that he is now a singer took us back a bit.

Don’t get us wrong, we loved 24 and all of it’s eight seasons, but we were a little surprised to see that the star of the show has gone down a new entertainment route.

Namely, country singing.

Yep, Kiefer Sutherland is touring around Europe, and he’s making a stop in Dublin.

Taking to the Academy stage on June 30, Kiefer will play his rock-country album to fans, after selling sold out shows all around America.

After the release of his refreshingly honest country-rock album Down In A Hole, he played more than 120 shows, including performances on the Grand Ole Opry, Stagecoach and Glastonbury Festival.

His album has been described as “edgy,” and “blended with passion,” by Rolling Stone.

Tickets are on sale on March 23 on Ticketmaster and cost €33.50.
