Remember the weird brother-sister duo from XFactor? Well he’s totally buffed up

Cassie Delaney

Ah come on you do.

Same Difference appeared on season 4 of Xfactor in 2007. The duo actually managed to finish 3rd under the mentorship of Simon Cowell.

During the live shows, the siblings, Sean and Sarah Smith received criticism for their insanely bubbly pop and inevitably, they failed to amount to much fame when the show ended.

Their debut single, We R One“, released on 24 November 2008 managed to only peak at number 13 in the charts and their debut album, Pop, releases shortly after, failed to make much of an impact.

The band did announce a 21-date UK tour for March and April 2009, but then cancelled in favour of 21 date joint tour with fellow X Factor graduate Leon Jackson.

The duo decided to call it quits in 2014 but it seems Sean hasn’t hung up his dancing shoes just yet.

Now 31, Sean is preparing to embark on a solo career, and he has undergone quite the transformation.

Like a massive one.

Speaking to Yahoo! Sean said: “I have matured as a performer and so has my singing style and image.”

“My debut solo single ‘Turn Me On’ is due for release next month, along with a hot video to accompany it, which I hope will appeal to a wider audience as well as my fantastically loyal fans who have stayed with me since the Same Difference days.”

He continues to share his plans to release a solo album.

“The album is well underway and we are already working on the second single so it’s a busy time but I am thrilled to be standing on my own two feet.”

And luckily, for any Same Difference fans that might remain, a reunion isn’t entirely off the cards.

“As we are brother and sister it is always something we can come back to in the future if we both wanted to,” said big buff Sean.
