“I am a very passionate person.”
It’s fair to say that the last episode of Room To Improve caused quite a stir with viewers.
On Sunday night we met Tipperary farmer Padraig Ryan and his wife Katie, who sought architect Dermot’s help in turning their old fashioned farm house into a dream home.
From the get-go, Katie took the reigns and made it clear when she was unhappy with the build – which turned out to be fairly often.
She managed to direct the nation’s sympathies at Dermot and get absolutely roasted on Twitter.
Bet ye all appreciate ye’re wives tonight #roomtoimprove

Since then Katie has shared her side of the story, saying she was unfairly portrayed.
“I am a very passionate person,” she told the Limerick Leader.
“That did come across but I think it came across as more stubborn and argumentative.”
She denied that she had any ‘notions’, as Dermot had said on the show.
“The programme is highly edited and Dermot deserves an Oscar after it.
“Off camera, Dermot and I got on very well together and were laughing to tears in a lot of scenes.
“In some of the scenes you can even see him holding back a smile, even when we were fighting about the wall.”
