Production on season six of Netflix’s Queer Eye has begun.

And this time, the Fab Five are headed for Texas.

The series’ official Instagram account confirmed the news yesterday [March 11], as they also shared an update on when season five will be arriving on the streaming service.

“Grab a Texas-sized box of tissues y’all because the Fab 5 just arrived in the Lone Star State to film Queer Eye Season 6,” they wrote, alongside a series of photos of the Fab Five, before adding that season five will be coming “real soon”.

Netflix later confirmed the news on Twitter, as they shared that Queer Eye’s “yee-haw era is here”.

Last summer, it was announced that Queer Eye had been renewed for a fourth season (which hit on July 19) and a fifth season.

The fifth season is due to take place in Philadelphia.

The show is an holistic approach to the traditional makeover format, with the five helpful queer men showing up in someone’s life for a week and helping them achieve who they want to be. The feel-good show often features tutorials that extol the importance of looking after your hygiene, your self-esteem, your mental health and your physical well-being.

The show’s Fab Five consists of five makeover experts: Antoni Porowski (Food & Wine), Bobby Berk (Interior Design), Jonathan Van Ness (Grooming), Karamo Brown (Culture), and Tan France (Fashion).
