How did this happen?
Months of planning go into the various Hollywood awards. Guest lists are drawn up, the room layout is sorted, the nominees are decided and the finishing touches like visual designs are created.
You would think that it would all be double checked, but unfortunately for last night’s SAG Awards someone failed to check the spelling on the graphics on screen and there was a pretty bad typo about Judi Dench.
As we all know, she was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role. But, on the night she was accidentally nominated for ‘Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Roll’.

Minor typo but very different meaning. Spare a thought for the person who was in charge of the graphics.
At least the people at home had a laugh about it.
I guess Judi Dench is playing a tumbler. Or maybe a bagel…. pic.twitter.com/TZMNxYNVSF
