People have criticised Kelly Clarkson for something she fed her child

Singer Kelly Clarkson took to social media to share a very sweet video of her little girl, named River.

The video showed little two-year-old River enjoying a sweet treat, namely Nutella. During the short snap, River's mum Kelly asks her little baba does she like the chocolate spread, while the youngster is quick to confirm that indeed she does.

However adorable the video may have been, there were some who were quick to comment on mum's food choice. One commentator stated,

“Giving food like this to a child is child abuse.”

While another felt the need to remind Kelly that Nutella is “PACKED with sugars.”

Among the many individuals giving parenting and nutritional advice to Kelly (which we are sure she is already quite aware of) there were plenty who came to the Grammy winner's defence with comments such as:

"I'm sorry but how the hell is she an abusive mother by giving her child Nutella? Do people realise what abuse even stands for? Clearly not..." "We got your back mama! You stay true to go and keep being a good mama that you are!!!" "Please ignore everyone and you do you!!! Mama shaming isn't ok and you are doing a great job :) please keep going :) I EAT NUTELLA WITH A SPOON!"

And now, we feel a sweet treat coming on.
