People were distraught when a rumour began to spread that the popular cartoon SpongeBob Squarepants would be finishing up.
It was being reported that after 17 years on TV SpongeBob Squarepants would be drawing to a close with production on the series ending on October 17th. A similar hoax happened in 2013 where people suggested that it was getting cut back then too.
But, alas, it’s not true with Snopes confirming it was all a hoax after a Nickelodeon said, “No, the show isn’t cancelled.”
But up until this was confirmed people were freaking out over the news.
To be honest, we never knew people cared so much.
You know your childhood is over when spongebob has been cancelled ??????
