One person axed from Celebrity Big Brother before it even starts

The countdown is on.

Yesterday, we heard that 2017 Celebrity Big Brother kicks off on August 1st but it seems that one contestant has been dropped before the show even starts. Yep, 80s pop star Sinitta had been due to take part in this year's series but it seems that the show's bosses couldn't meet her list of demands and so, she won't be going into the house 'just yet'.

To be fair, the list is a little extreme including a 24-hour bodyguard which would definitely disrupt the other housemates and regular visits from her dog Scarlett O'Hara. The list emerged earlier this week but Sinitta confirmed that the 'reasonable' demands were true during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine this morning. Sinitta, who previously dated Simon Cowell, said that she thought her demands were reasonable, particularly the request to bring Scarlett as she's very attached to the pup.

However, it seems that Sinitta has been in talks with CBB bosses for quite some time and hinted that she might participate at some point, even if it's not this year. Although the official line-up hasn't been confirmed as of yet, rumoured contestants include Former Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, Jordan Davies of Ex on the Beach and comedian Helen Lederer. Thankfully, this means the Love Island shaped hole in our lives from when the show ends next week will soon be filled by another reality TV series and this is sure to be just as explosive.
