Sixty-six-year-old Marie, who made quite an impression during the first episode, apparently specialised in patisserie.
The Mail on Sunday reports that she even took classes for aspiring chefs in Scotland before running a hotel and restaurant.

A BBC spokesperson told the newspaper that Marie has not breached the rules of the show (which state that contestants can’t have qualifications from the last 10 years).
They said: “There are strict criteria to taking part in the show and Marie met that criteria. She gained a certificate for one week’s training in Paris in 1984.”
