Ollie Locke just announced he’s engaged in the most old-fashioned way ever

Yes, congratulations are in order for former Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke who announced his engagement to longtime friend Gareth Locke with an announcement in the paper. In possibly the most traditional way ever, the pair shared the news with family and friends with a formal notice in The Times that read:

“The engagement is announced between Oliver, son of Sarah and John Locke of Southampton, and Gareth, son of Margaret and David Locke of Suffolk.”

Yep, it was seriously swank, however, Ollie also shared the news with his followers on Instagram a short while ago and revealed that while he and Gareth haven’t been dating long, they’ve known each other for years.

“I have known him for 10 years and at many of my most important life moments, he was in the background," the MIC star said. “Earlier this year, we realised that what we had both been looking for was standing in front of us all along, the greatest hint was probably that we already have the same surname. “I have never been happier and can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with someone who makes me smile like this every day.”

After speaking openly about struggling to meet someone for years, Ollie took part in Celebs Go Dating earlier this year in a bid to find 'the one'. However, having no luck on the show, Ollie began dating Gareth a short while after it finished and the rest, as they say, is history.
