You need slappin’ down!
… Is what one Ben Mitchell would have said, wrench in hand, whenever anybody crossed him once upon a time.
The mid-noughties were a decent time for EastEnders.
Peggy Mitchell was back, Stacy was getting with Bradley, and Ben Mitchell was tearing up the square in a fit of manic rage that can only be described using two words.
Harrowing. And incredible.
Just kidding, he didn’t go that mental but he certainly had his moments – one of them being the aforementioned wrench scenario, and the other being the time he danced to Lady Gaga and got caught rapid.
Iconic moments the both of them.
And while Ben has been played by an array of different actors during his time on the square (and literally none of them looked alike), it was young Ben that had to be the best Ben.
Played by Charlie Jones, who now goes by Charlie Chambers, young Ben Mitchell is all grown up and we’d honestly be lying if we told you that he looks so different, because he literally doesn’t. He looks the exact same.

Charlie, thankfully, is still acting and according to his Twitter page, he’s just been cast in BBC’s upcoming drama Noughts and Crosses.
Based on the bestselling book series by Majorie Blackman, the show tells the story of an alternate universe where African people gained a technological advantage over Europeans, thus making them their slaves.
Safe to say we’re pretty hyped for it.
