This is one sneaky occurrence.
We can’t believe it’s been a whole 5 years since the release of the last Harry Potter film, but we’re also quite lucky in the sense that we’ve been provided with more than enough Potter-themed stuff to keep the magic alive forever.
In the last month or so, we’ve seen an amazing Potter-themed Christmas tree, a mashup of Stranger Things and Harry Potter and makeup palette mockups… More than enough to keep us thinking of Harry Potter weekly, if not daily.
One film that has certainly kept the wizarding world of Harry Potter is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a series of prequels to Harry Potter.
While the book for Fantastic Beasts… was written in 2001, we hadn’t heard anything of the character of Newt Scamander until the film this year. But it appears Newt made an appearance in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Spotted on Cosmopolitan, when Fred and George Weasley explain to Harry about how the Marauder’s Map works, you can see Newt Scamander appearing on the map.

VERY creepy.
Fans have said that Newt may have been visiting Dumbledore while others say he was there to save Buckbeak the hippogriff… But who can know for sure?
We’ll have to wait for more Fantastic Beasts films to hopefully explain why.
