The programme wasn't live for long when it was met by opposition from leading American dental bodies like the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and the American Association of Dental Research (AADR).
These bodies sent letters to the platform asking it to remove the documentary because the information was misleading and harmful to the viewing public.
And so on February 23, Netflix dropped the documentary.
Speaking to The Guardian about Netflix's decision to drop the documentary, the director of endodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine said it was a "wise and responsible decision".
Netflix has not yet commented on the decision to remove Root Cause.Entertainment
