They have come to an “agreement.”
Last month, it was reported that the production of House of Cards has been cancelled after accusations about Kevin Spacey came to light.
We all thought a new season was definitely not on the cards, but it seems like Netflix has had a change of heart.
The TV giant issued a statement this evening saying that the sixth series will indeed go ahead, however, it will be without Mr Spacey.
Anthony Rapp said that Kevin made sexual advances towards him when he was 14, and the actor was 26.
Netflix said today that they are happy for the final season of House of Cards to go ahead, since more than 370 people work on the show.
Chief content officer Ted Sarandos spoke at UBS’s Global Media and Communications Conference in New York and said: “We were really excited we could get to an agreement” to provide “closure to fans.”
He further confirmed that it will be eight episodes long and star Robin Wright.
