Netflix confirm That 70s Show spin off series

It's making a comeback.

Over the last number of years, we've seen a lot of TV shows making a return with a new, revamped version. Everything from Full House to Sex and The City, all the classic TV shows we once adored have all come back with a spin off series. And That '70s Show isn't escaping this one as the beloved sitcom is getting a 90s themed spin off, and you guessed it, it's set to be called That '90s Show. Netflix is currently developing the show, with it previously being revealed that Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp would be reprising their roles as Red and Kitty Forman, with more stars following suit. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have also confirmed they'll be making a comeback as Michael Kelso and Jackie Burkhart, with Ashton telling Variety that it was bizarre and "nostalgic" to return to the set after 16 years. "Mila and I were contemplating it. Then we thought, "Listen we're only in the position that we're in because of this show, so let's get back and do this"," he said. The couple famously met while filming the series in 1998 when Ashton was 20 and Mila was just 14 but didn't end up in a relationship until years after the show finished. The new series' description reads: "Hello, Wisconsin! It's 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red. "Sex, drugs and rock 'n roll never dies, it just changes clothes." The original series first hit screens in 1998 and ran until 2006, with the new show set to have 10 episodes. The show's creators Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner are also joining the show as executive producers, with Gregg Mettler as showrunner. Wilmer Valderrama, who appeared in the original, previously told People that the cast had been discussing doing a film of the series, saying: "We've breezed through it. We've talked about it. "I think a reboot right now — look, what we did at that time, at the age we were, was so ambitious and fearless and daring ... it'd be tough."
