Marina and The Diamonds is back with brand new music.  Marina and the Diamonds' release of album Electra Heart, the name also given to her alter-ego, earned her a Top 40 across Europe and chart impressively worldwide, with an entry on the Billboard 200 and claiming the no.1 spot in the UK and Ireland. In mid 2013, Marina publicly killed off her alter ego and this new material is a cathartic rebirth in nearly every way. "I was really grateful for the experiences and opportunities that Electra Heart gave me, but I will never do it again. It was very early on that I understood that", she explained. Diamondis added that she never had the intention to replicate the incredible success of hit 'Primadonna'. "As soon as I'd finished the record and 'Primadonna' came out and I went onto that treadmill of working promo, I already knew what I wanted to do with my third record. I already knew it was going to be completely different,” she added. New album FROOT sees the songstress returning to basics for a new chapter in her career and in her life. When asked to sum up album FROOT, Marina replied: “It's not about being pop or not pop, or electronic or not electronic, it's more about feeling the groove in the music and knowing there are real musicians playing it... I think it's something that I've been trying to translate for a long time". FROOT will hit the shelves Friday April 3rd.
