Hi son Paul passed away from Motor Neurone Disease in 2008.
“The deterioration in Paul’s case was rapid; arms, legs, feet, hands, voice," said Jimmy.
"Following in succession until, for the last five months of his life, he couldn’t speak, couldn’t shake his head, couldn’t point a finger. It’s not life’s natural order to have your children predecease you.
“I hope for all the families, friends and extended MND community in Ireland that we find that evasive cure and fulfil the vision held by the IMNDA that ‘Together, we will beat Motor Neurone Disease."
