Don’t get us wrong! We all love to mellow out on occasion and sob away to some sad music, but sometimes if we are in a good mood and any of these bands come up with the random function on iTunes, we feel like all is lost.  Crack a smile there, Morrissey, would you?

We’re not sure what’s more depressing here, Thom Yorke’s voice or the actual music...

If the title of King of the Depressed existed, Cohen would almost certainly take it. Beautiful music though...

5. Nick Cave

And Cave would be next in line to that particular throne...

6. Morrissey

Morrissey is a little bit miserable both on and off the stage, but seriously, this track would make happy children weep...

7. The Cure

If you can get through The Cure’s Pictures of You without shedding a little tear, you’re a stronger person than any of us...

8. Coldplay

Oh Chris Martin, it might never happen. Just stop...
