It was all to celebrate the culinary corner that is 'Theatre of Food' which returns for its sixth year to Electric Picnic 2016. Once again bringing its delicious array of cutting-edge food demos, wired-up mixology, inspired culinary workshops, and far-out foodie tastings for Picnickers of all ages. This year the Food Collective of performers introduces new festival faces, including food blogger and cookery book author Roz Purcell; best-selling cookbook author, Susan Jane White and chef/creator of legendary pop-ups such as Dilisk, Katie Sanderson. There will be food from around the globe too, with cult Cork city restaurateurs Takashi Miyazaki from Japan and Gautham Iyer from India, showing the secrets of their two national cuisines. Theatre of Food is produced by McKennas’ Guides, and brought out in association with Euro-toques Ireland, the European Association of Chefs and Cooks.
