The end of an era.
Don Henley has revealed that The Eagles are finally going their separate ways, and that their emotional Grammys performance was most likely their last.
At the awards ceremony, the band paid tribute to co-founder Glenn Frey, who passed away earlier this year after complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia.
Now, Henley has told the BBC that that performance of Take It Easy was probably the band's last together.
He said: "That was the final farewell. I don't think you’ll see us performing again. I think that was probably it. I think it was an appropriate farewell."
Frey and Henley co-founded The Eagles alongside Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner in LA in 1971, and the band went on to be one of the most successful acts of the 70s.
In 1980 they split for almost 15 years before coming together again in 1994 and touring sporadically since.
