While the RTE Choice Music Awards had to be held virtually this year due to Covid restrictions, the excitement was still palpable when it was announced that Chaila had won Best Album. The awards were broadcast on RTÉ2FM as well as being streamed live on the RTÉ Player. The winner of Album of the Year was announced by U2's Adam Clayton. While Chaila has not Tweeted since winning Best Album, she did put out a message on social media when she found out that she had been nominated for the award;Huge congratulations to Denise Chaila on winning #RTEChoicePrize Album of the Year for her debut 'Go Bravely'. Good luck you guys."I think staring into a cup of tea because of nerves has got to be one of the most Irish things I've heard in awhile. Within the music industry and particularly amidst those involved in the Why Not Her movement there has been much celebration since it was announced that Chaila had won the award. The Why Not Her movement aims to help boost the visibility of women working in the music industry as there is still very little representation of Irish female musicians in the Irish charts.
