Looks like Steven Soderbergh's box office success Magic Mike is going down the musical route and aiming for Broadway.
The movie’s lead actor Channing Tatum made the announcement on Twitter and further confirmed the comments on his own website:
“You knew you were getting a sequel, but now you’ll also soon be able to check out the LIVE stage version… of ‘Magic Mike, The Musical’!” read the statement on the website.
Magic Mike is actually based on Channing’s own experiences as a male stripper when he was younger.

It has also been confirmed that Glee writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is to write the script for the musical version, with Channing and Stephen Soderbergh producing of the show.
Magic Mike took in $113 million in box offices worldwide and there’s already a sequel in the making – no doubt its creators are hoping for sold-out audiences when it debuts on stage.
We're very excited, let's hope it comes to Ireland.
